Two feature films dealing with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on peoples' lives and economy on Aug. 13 opened the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF), the largest film showcase in a region spreading from Vienna to Istanbul.

Romanian film director and screenwriter Radu Jude will be honoured at the La Rochelle Cinema (FEMA)Festival, which will take place June 25-July 4. The red carpet is laid down, the film stages set and the audio equipment has been checked and re-checked for the grand opening of the 21st Sarajevo Film Festival, SFF, which opens on Friday night.
