Films set in pandemic to open Sarajevo Film Festival
Two feature films dealing with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on peoples' lives and economy on Aug. 13 opened the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF), the largest film showcase in a region spreading from Vienna to Istanbul.

Romanian film director Jude to be honoured at 49th edition of La Rochelle Cinema Festival
Romanian film director and screenwriter Radu Jude will be honoured at the La Rochelle Cinema (FEMA)Festival, which will take place June 25-July 4. Sarajevo Film Festival to Award Oliver Stone
Sarajevo Film Festival organisers announced on Monday that the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award this year will be presented to Academy Award-winning scriptwriter and director Oliver Stone.
"Sarajevo Film Festival is honoured to pay tribute to the preeminent filmmaker," the organisers stated on their website.

Bulgarian-Directed German Movie Wins Grand Prix Award at Sofia Film Fest
The German movie "Zhaleika" directed by Bulgarian Eliza Petkova won the grand prix award for best film in the international competition of the Sofia International Film Festival.
The winner was announced at the award ceremony which took place in hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in the Bulgarian capital on Saturday.
