BELGRADE - The government will provide RSD 1 billion in loans under good conditions to micro, small and medium companies heavily hit by the recent floods, in order to restart their production, Minister of Economy Dusan Vujovic said on Saturday.

BELGRADE - New German investments may arrive in Serbia, including in the country's electric power company EPS, Serbian Minister of Economy Dusan Vujovic has said.

Serbia and Germany have embarked on a new phase of economic relations, and major German investors could invest in telecommunications, modern technologies and the metal industry, Vujovic told the RTS late Wednesday.

BELGRADE - The entire package of government measures is geared towards creating as many jobs as possible, Serbian Minister of Economy Dusan Vujovic has said.

The planned EUR 1.2 billion loan package is actually intended for small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs, with certain tax relief for job creation, he said.

Unions urge government "not to mess with them"

Better investment climate condition for more jobs

BELGRADE -- Attracting new investors and creation of a better investment climate is the right way to create "hundreds of thousands of new jobs in Serbia."

This is according to newly-appointed Minister of Economy Dušan Vujović.
