Serbia ready for talks with IMF mission

BELGRADE - World Bank (WB) Country Manager for Serbia Tony Verheijen said Monday that Serbia was well prepared for negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Verheijen told reporters at the Belgrade City Assembly that the IMF mission was arriving in Belgrade on Tuesday for talks with representatives of the Serbian government and the National Bank of Serbia.

Macroeconomics, cost cuts to be discussed with IMF

BELGRADE - A solid foundation has been agreed for discussions between the Serbian and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegations, says Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic.

The discussions, to be held on November 4-5, will address macroeconomic projects, and next week we will discuss the most painful issues - public enterprises and cutting budget costs, he said.

LONDON -- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić and Belgrade Mayor Siniša Mali on Wednesday met with London Mayor Boris Johnson.

According to the Serbian government, they "discussed infrastructure projects and ways of presenting the Serbian capital in the UK."
