Day of Slovenian-Serbian Friendship to become official next year
Ljubljana – Several associations hosted a Day of Slovenian-Serbian Friendship at Fužine Castle in Ljubljana featuring Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia, and his spouse, Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia. It was announced at the event that 12 June would probably be formally declared the Day of Slovenian-Serbian Friendship next year.

Under the title Slavic Rhapsody, the concert will present Slavic folk music and its echoes in music by featuring segments of operas, symphonic and choir music by composers such as Antonin Dvorak, Bedrich Smetana, Marjan Kozina, Stevan Mokranjac, Jakov Gotovac and Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin.
Philharmonic Orchestra to mark Mokranjac anniversary
BELGRADE - The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra will join the commemorations of a great Serbian cultural anniversary, the centenary of the death of Stevan Mokranjac, the founder of Serbian artistic music, with late Friday's performance at the Kolarac Endowment.
Russian pianist Sinchuk, RTS orchestra to close BEMUS
BELGRADE - Young Russian pianist Alexander Sinchuk will perform with the RTS Symphonic Orchestra and conductor Bojan Sudjic at the Kolarac Endowment at the closing of the 46th Belgrade Music Festival (BEMUS) late Saturday.
The performance will feature Sergei Rachmaninoff's symphonic poem The Isle of the Dead, Piano Concerto No. 2 and Piano Concerto No. 3.
Famous Russian choir Glinka to open 46th BEMUS
BELGRADE - The 46th Belgrade Music Festival (BEMUS) as the festival of art music and one of the biggest city events established back in 1969 will open in Belgrade's Sava Centre on Monday evening by a performance of the Russian choir Glinka with Vladislav Chernushenko as the conductor.
