Serbia marks Miners’ Day
SENJSKI RUDNIK - Serbian miners Wednesday marked Miners’ Day, a holiday that has been established to commemorate a great miners' strike that took place at the Senje Mine (Senjski Rudnik), the first and oldest mining pit in Serbia, now part of RMU Rembas, on August 6 in 1903.

Zemun-Borca bridge connected, to be opened in December
BELGRADE - The construction of a bridge over the Danube between Belgrade’s neighborhoods of Zemun and Borca has been connected and the bridge should be opened by the New Year, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said Wednesday.

Mihajlovic: 40 percent of flood-ravaged roads repaired
BACKO GRADISTE - Around 40 percent of the roads destroyed in the May floods have been repaired so far, Serbian Minister of Transport Zorana Mihajlovic said on Sunday, announcing that all of the country's damaged roads and railway infrastructure will be repaired by October 1.

Mihajlovic presents bill on flood damage repair
BELGRAD - Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic presented to MPs on Wednesday a draft law on the repair of the damage caused by the severe floods that hit Serbia in May.
This is a lex specialis, which should be rushed through the parliament, as it should clear the ground for the quick repair of the flood damage in 49 municipalities that suffered major losses.
