The move – which exposes the exact locations of American soldiers on the front lines in the war-torn nation – has sent the ongoing feud between the two NATO allies to new lows.

Rebel-Kurd clashes kill 11 in north Syria: Monitor

Nearly a dozen Syrian rebels have been killed in hit-and-run clashes with a U.S.-backed alliance dominated by Kurdish forces in the country's north, a monitoring group said on July 18.

Rebels were locked in their second day of fighting on July 18 with units from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) around the village of Ain Daqna.

Dozens killed in Allepo, US denies targeting mosque

The United States has said it conducted an air strike in Syria against an al-Qaeda meeting but denied deliberately targeting a mosque where a monitor said 46 people were killed on March 17.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said most of the dead in the raid on al-Jineh, in Aleppo province, were civilians.
