The Living Museum, founded with the aim of bequeathing Anatolian culture to future generations by using interactive methods, is the 10th Changemaker of the 8th season of Sabancı Foundation Turkey's Changemakers Program.

A principle of a high school in Ankara who was allegedly commited sexual abuse over at least 100 student, was arrested following objection of prescutor's Office on Feb. 18.

The principal, identified only by the initials S.K., had been released after his testmony.

Around 100 high school students in the Haymana district of Ankara have applied to the authorities with complaints that they have been sexually abused by the principal of their school, daily Birgün reported on Feb. 12. 

The assassin of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş, repeatedly studied his target's photo on the Internet, according to the police investigation into the Dec. 19 killing. 

Altıntaş, who killed Karlov during a photo exhibition in Ankara's Center of Modern Art, looked at the pictures from his housemate's computer, daily Habertürk reported on Jan. 3.  

Locals found the body of a dead man in a wasteland while they were playing with snow in Turkey's capital Ankara late on Dec. 28.

The incident occurred at 00:30 a.m. in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara. Some locals who went to the wasteland to play with snow found a man who was lying motionlessly. 

Police officers and a number of medics arrived at the scene.

Russian officials will examine the phone of Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş, who killed Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov late on Dec. 19, as part of a joint investigation between Russian and Turkish officials regarding the assassination of the envoy.

The U.S. is not ruling out terrorist involvement in the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Ankara, the State Department said on Dec.20. 

I knew Andrey Karlov in person. The Russian ambassador to Ankara was from the old school, a Cold War warrior, who even served in North Korea. In the worst times of the Turkish-Russian crisis after Turkey downed a Russian plane on the Syrian border, Karlov did not lose his calm.

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor Harun Kodalak has denied that his office applied to the Prime Ministry for permission to hear National Intelligence Chief (MİT) Hakan Fidan's victim and witness testimony as part of an ongoing probe into the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey. 

A man who was wounded during the July 15 failed coup attempt succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 12, bringing the total death toll of the thwarted coup to 246. 

Özcan Özsoy, 27, died in the hospital in which he was receiving treatment, Anadolu Agency reported.
