Korivos loses to relegated Trikala and goes down

Panionios needed a miracle to remain in the Basket League, and that is exactly what happened in the last round of the regular season on Sunday: Korivos Amaliadas lost at home to already relegated Trikala and followed it on the way down to the A2 division. Also on Sunday Kolossos earned the last ticket to the play-offs and Panathinaikos finished the entire regular season unbeaten.

Battle for a top-four finish in the Basket League goes on

AEK, Lavrio and Promitheas scored away wins in the Basket League over the weekend to continue vying for the two remaining spots in the top four of the regular season that grant home advantage in the first round of the play-offs.

Cup winner AEK edged out Korivos 77-75 at Amaliada in a particularly close game that leaves the Peloponnesian team one place above the relegation zone.

Perfect Greens eclipse host PAOK

Panathinaikos is looking good for going the entire regular season of the Basket League undefeated, as it emerged unscathed from the PAOK challenge on Sunday.

Led by Kenny Gabriel (14 points), the Greens bounced back from their Euroleague loss at Bamberg less than 48 hours earlier to beat PAOK 91-74 in Thessaloniki and make it 15 out of 15 in the league.
