A serious warning from Dr Stevanović

According to him, the hospitals in Batajnica and Krusevac will soon fully use all their capacities.
If this situation continues, the medical part of the Crisis Staff will ask for stricter measures, and above all for shortening the work of catering facilities and additional reduction of the capacity of tourist facilities.

"I am afraid of a growing number of patients in the coming days"

This was stated by Tatjana Adi Vukievi, director of the COVID Hospital in Batajnica, the largest institution of that type in the region.
She stated for RTS that the COVID hospital in Batajnica is "practically ready" to open another part of the building at any moment, which has not been in function so far.

Kon: We consider restricting movement; This can only be compared to a state of war

"It has been resolved that there will be new measures at the borders - yes, now it is just a technical question how it will be implemented. So it has been decided," he said.
As he stated, the big question is whether it is possible to control private New Year's celebrations.
"That's why one has to think about restricting movement," he told Prva Television.

"We'll get the vaccine against COVID-19 in the same time as EU members"

"Our numbers are still not falling, but we are still keeping health care and protection under control as much as possible. I am grateful to the doctors," says Vui.
"Exactly when I look at the numbers, in Kraljevo it is as if everyone had been infected with COVID. The same goes for Trstenik," he added.

Kon: It is unlikely that there won't be any measures for the New Year holidays

We will see the results this week. In Belgrade, it can be seen that the number of newly infected is starting to decrease slightly, but it should be clear that it is still at a high level. A large number of Belgraders are being treated outside Belgrade, regardless of the COVID hospital in Batajnica being opened. The endurance of the system is at its limits", Dr Predrag Kon said.
