Turkish PM pledges high-speed train will reach Central Anatolian province

Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu promised that a high-speed train will extend to the Central Anatolian province of Karaman and toward eastern Turkey, speaking during a public rally in the city on May 18. 

Davuto?lu vowed that the high-speed train will connect Karaman with the southern province of Adana and the southeastern provinces of ?anl?urfa and ??rnak. 

Bombs hit two HDP buildings in southern Turkey, injuring at least three

Bombs have hit two local headquarters of the Kurdish problem-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in the southern Turkish of Adana and Mersin, weeks before the June 7 general election. Hidden in a cargo parcel and a gift-packaged flower pot, the two bombs injured at least three people on May 18.

Four prosecutors, one commander detained in Syria-bound intelligence trucks case

Four prosecutors and one commander, for whom arrest warrants were issued after their halting of Syria-bound National Intelligence Organization (M?T) trucks in Turkey's south last year, have been detained. 

The Tarsus 2nd High Criminal Court ordered the arrest of four prosecutors, along with a commander who ordered the Syria-bound trucks belonging to M?T to be stopped and searched. 

Turkish handball team's bus attacked with stones

The team bus of Turkey's top men's handball side was attacked April 10 by unknown individuals who threw stones at its windows, days after a shooting attack on a top flight football club, reports said.
      
The Be?ikta? Mogaz bus was pelted with stones as the players were playing in an away match in the Mediterranean city of Mersin.
