PM Dancila: More to accomplish in infrastructure; this Gov't has made important steps

Dismissed Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Saturday, while paying a visit to the Bacau Municipality ring road building site, said there still were more things to accomplish in infrastructure, nevertheless over the past two years important steps had been made in this area.

More than 54,000 Vehicles Passed through Trakia Motorway on September 20th

54,067 vehicles were registered by the traffic cameras of Trakia Motorway at the exit of Sofia on September 20 - the last business day before the three weekend days for the Independence Day. Attiki Odos toll hikes halted

Attiki Odos SA, the company that manages the Attica ring road, has agreed to freeze a planned hike to toll charges until the end of the year after calling a truce with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

The ministry, in turn, has held back a bill prepared by the previous government halting the raise until the motorway's concession is re-examined.

PM Boyko Borissov Inspected the Construction Works on Europe Motorway

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has inspected construction works on Europe Motorway in Slivnitsa - Dragoman section, said the government press office, quoted by Focus News Agency.
The project started in mid-May this year and will be completed by 2021, it is implemented with funds from the state budget under the New Construction programme of the Road Infrastructure Agency.

Traffic on Struma Motorway Expected to be Allowed Partially from Friday

Traffic on the Struma motorway in the direction to Sofia is expected to be allowed partially from today, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on August 23. The traffic will be reopened for cars. First, it will be examined how much weight the fire-damaged viaduct near Dupnica can withstand.

Section of Struma Highway will Remain Closed to Traffic for at Least 3 Weeks

Struma motorway will be fully open to traffic within three weeks at the earliest, the Road Infrastructure Agency said on August 15. The stretch near Dupnitsa remained closed as a result of the huge fire at a secondary raw material facility in the area. It is unclear how much the repair will cost after the damages caused by the fire on the motorway bridge structure.
