Cyprus fund to support local startups
33East, a Cyprus-based venture capital firm, announced the launch of its inaugural fund with a first close of 26 million euros.
The fund will invest in pre-seed and seed-stage founders and startups with a connection to Cyprus, offering capital, support and network to help drive Cyprus' transformation into a hive for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Turkish startups take stage at CES 2025 in Las Vegas
Some 34 Turkish tech startups took the stage at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada, which kicked off on Jan. 6 and concludes on Jan. 10.
The event featured a pavilion of Turkish tech unicorns and startups worth $1 billion, as well as participation from several Turkish development agencies and the Turkish Industry and Technology Ministry.

17,000 euros support for unemployed individuals to launch businesses
Unemployed people aged 30 to 59 who join the entrepreneurship program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) will receive financial support of 17,000 euros.
The goal of the program is to create small and medium-sized enterprises and, according to Labor Minister Niki Kerameus, emphasis will be placed on female entrepreneurship.
