Turkish PM Erdoğan hits out at Egypt for ‘silence’ over Palestine

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once again hit out at the international community, particularly Egypt, for “remaining silent” against the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, while addressing his parliamentary group July 22. During the speech, Erdoğan wore a scarf resembling a keffiyeh across his shoulders, symbolizing solidarity with the Palestinians.

Toll in Gaza tops 300 on day 12 of Israel campaign

The Gaza death toll hit 341 on Saturday as Israeli warplanes intensified their bombardment and troops pressed a ground assault on the 12th day of a major confrontation with Hamas.

The latest incident saw two men, aged 25 and 31, killed in an air strike near Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said.

Gaza toll hits 213 on 9th day of Israel air campaign

Four children on the beach in Gaza City were killed in an Israeli raid on Wednesday, raising the overall death toll to 213, the emergency services said.        

All four were on the beach when the attack took place, in what initially appeared to be shelling from the sea, according to AFP correspondents who witnessed the attack from a nearby hotel.
