US updates travel warning to Turkey over terror threat
The U.S. Department of State issued an update to its travel warning to Turkey on Oct. 24 over "increased terror threats from terrorist groups" across the country.
Three biggest TAV airports in Turkey amongst world's most environmentally friendly

Turkish Airlines: Flights return to normal schedule, delays expected
Flights on Turkish Airlines at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport, Europe's third-largest hub, returned to their normal schedule on July 16, a spokesman said, after an attempted coup by the military targeted the facility.
Operational delays are expected after the airport was shut to traffic overnight, the spokesman told Reuters.
Turkey demands return of eight plotter soldiers who landed on Greece
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuoşğlu has said Ankara has demanded return of eight coup attempter soldiers , who landed on Alexandroupolis in Greece.
"We demanded the urgent return of eight traitor soldiers who escaped to Greece on a helicopter," he said.
The minister said Greek authorities said they were ready to cooperate.
2,839 detained over coup attempt
A total of 2,839 soldiers have been detained over the charges of coup attempt, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said July 16 in a press briefing.
There are high-ranking officers among the detained.
Broadcaster CNNTürk said four of them were generals and 29 of them were colonels.

At least 90 dead in Turkish coup attempt
At least 90 people have been killed and 1154 were wounded during the clashes and incidents after a group of soldiers attempted a coup starting from late on July 15, Anadolu Agency reported.
A prosecutor in the Gölbaşı district said 42 of the dead were in Ankara.

Turkey flies flags at half-mast after Nice attack
Turkey flew its flags at half-mast on July 15 in a show of solidarity with France after the deadly Nice attack, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım has announced.
"We are flying our flags half-mast today [July 15] for solidarity with France," Yıldırım told reporters in the capital Ankara.

Four Suspects Detained Over Istanbul Bombing
Four suspects have been detained in relation to the terrorist attack which took place in the Beyazit district of Istanbul on Tuesday.
The attack, which was carried out with a bomb-laden car, claimed the lives of eleven people and left 36 other injured. Seven of the victims were police officers, the remaining four being civilians.
