Farmers’ market reforms to connect producers and consumers
Greece is planning changes to its farmers' markets to increase producer participation and promote direct-to-consumer sales, aiming to lower costs and boost competition, Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos said.
Fines issued for counterfeit products on Rhodes
Market inspectors on Rhodes have issued fines worth 226,000 euros to two people for trading in counterfeit products.
As a result of the inspections, which took place last week, over 29,000 fake products were identified and subsequently destroyed.
A photo issued by the Interagency Market Control Unit (DIMEA) suggests that the fake products included games and toys.
