Athens features in the top 20 list of hotels giving the best value for money, according to a study conducted by hotel search website Trivago.

Trivago released a list with the 45 best value popular global cities for the coming year and Athens was ranked 17th with 78.36 points.

Most local people are familiar with these places and they are among their top choices for a weekend trip or a one-day excursion. But, do tourists know about them?

These lovely destinations are just a few miles away from Athens and you can find everything you want from a tourist destination, nice beaches, clean waters, sites of archaeological interest and delicious Greek food.
