Istanbul drops 12 places in global financial centers index
In a leading index of global financial centers, Istanbul has fallen 12 places to 78th, despite a rise in its rating, among 92 centers across the globe on factors such as infrastructure and access to high quality staff.
Istanbul's overall average rating is 617 in the 22nd Z/Yen global financial centers index (GFCI), up from 609 in the previous index.

PM hands over transcript of interview to Russian ambassador
Serbian PM Ana Brnabic has handed a full transcript of her recent interview to the US agency Bloomberg to Russia’s ambassador in Belgrade, Aleksandr Chepurin.
This was announced on Thursday by Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Metropolitan Museum works to rebound from money woes
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a behemoth of culture and wealth, is rebounding from more than a year of internal turmoil and financial problems.
As part of its recovery efforts, the museum is considering a mandatory admissions fee for visitors from outside New York state. The set fee, possibly $25 for adults, would be the first in the venerable museum's 147-year history.

Assets tax statements commence October 15
January 15 of 2017 is the deadline for taxpayers to submit their online property tax statements. They will have a 3-month period, commencing Friday, October 15 in which to submit their statements for the financial year of 2015.
