BELGRADE - The 81th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad is taking place on May 20-26 and will bring together around 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries, the trade show’s organizers said in a release on Tuesday.

BELGRADE - Vojvodina Novi Sad won the Serbian football cup by beating title holders Jagodina 2-0 (1-0) in late Wednesday's final in Belgrade.

Vojvodina's Alivodic and Babic scored the goals in the 40th and 52nd minutes.

NOVI SAD - Novi Sad Mayor Milos Vucevic on Monday opened the 2nd Danube Conference on Culture, organised by the Ulm-based European Danube Academy and the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad.

NOVI SAD - Former football player Vujadin Boskov, who left a great mark in Serbian and Yugoslav football, died in Novi Sad on Sunday aged 83 after a long and serious illness, his family has stated.

Boskov played 57 matches for the Yugoslav national team and was regarded highly as a coach by many Serbian and foreign clubs. He also coached the national team.

NOVI SAD - The commemoration in the Novi Sad Synagogue on Friday marked 70 years since the deportation of the city's Jews in World War II to concentration camps, from which most of them never returned.

NOVI SAD - The European Union has adopted a decision under which Novi Sad may become a European Capital of Culture in 2021 instead of in 2020 as previously planned, the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad said in a statement on Friday.
