Agriculture Fair to take place in Novi Sad on May 20-26
BELGRADE - The 81th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad is taking place on May 20-26 and will bring together around 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries, the trade show’s organizers said in a release on Tuesday.
Sixth Moliere Days kick off
BELGRADE - Program of the sixth Moliere Days in Serbia will take place in Belgrade's Dom Omladine and the French Institute in Belgrade and Novi Sad from May 13 to 16, institute director Jean-Luc Goester announced.

Matica srpska marks 150 years since moving to Novi Sad
NOVI SAD - Matica srpska, the oldest Serbian literary, cultural and scientific institution, on Monday marked the 150th anniversary since moving from Pest to Novi Sad in Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina.

NOVI SAD - The international conference "Slovaks and Serbs - History and Present" is organized with an idea to further strengthen the historical ties between Serbia and Slovakia, Ana Tomanova Makanova, Vice-President of the Vojvodina Assembly and chair of the National Council of the Slovak national minority underlined Friday in Novi Sad.

Exhibition “Long Live Life” in Novi Sad
NOVI SAD - The exhibition depicting the life of an ordinary man in the period between 1950 and 1990 dubbed “Long Live Life” will open at the Novi Sad City Museum on Thursday evening.
The exhibition will comprise numerous thematic sections featuring the everyday life of average Yugoslav people.

Vojvodina win Serbian football cup
BELGRADE - Vojvodina Novi Sad won the Serbian football cup by beating title holders Jagodina 2-0 (1-0) in late Wednesday's final in Belgrade.
Vojvodina's Alivodic and Babic scored the goals in the 40th and 52nd minutes.

Famous football player Vujadin Boskov dies
NOVI SAD - Former football player Vujadin Boskov, who left a great mark in Serbian and Yugoslav football, died in Novi Sad on Sunday aged 83 after a long and serious illness, his family has stated.
Boskov played 57 matches for the Yugoslav national team and was regarded highly as a coach by many Serbian and foreign clubs. He also coached the national team.

Novi Sad may become European Capital of Culture in 2021
NOVI SAD - The European Union has adopted a decision under which Novi Sad may become a European Capital of Culture in 2021 instead of in 2020 as previously planned, the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad said in a statement on Friday.
