Traffic restrictions will be introduced early on Thursday morning and stay in place until Sunday evening due to the 41st Authentic Marathon race and other smaller races over the weekend.

Traffic restrictions are in force today, Sunday 27 October, in Athens, due to the 4th Marathon Torch Relay for the Noble Idea of Organ Donation and Transplantation “IASON 23”.

Athens will experience phased traffic disruptions on Sunday, due to the 4th Marathon Torch Relay, IASON 23, aimed at promoting organ donation and transplants.

Vehicle restrictions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. along key routes, including the right lane heading toward Marathon.

The Panathenaic Stadium, commonly known as the “Kallimarmaro,” stands proudly in the heart of Athens, near the Zappeion, at the base of Ardittos Hill.
