Drugs worth 4.5 million liras seized in Turkey's Bursa
Anti-narcotics teams seized cannabis worth 4.5 million Turkish Liras in the northwestern province of Bursa on Aug. 30.
The Gendarmerie Command in Bursa formed a special team after receiving a tip-off about the growing of cannabis sativa in the province.
Man arrested for growing cannabis trees in forest outside Patra
A 35-year-old man was arrested in Patra on Monday while police are looking for another two suspects on charges they were growing 750 cannabis trees in a remote area. Police said they found the plantation after hiking for five kilometers through forestland in Aigialeia.
Half a ton of cannabis netted in two operations
Police from Attica's narcotics unit have confiscated half a ton of cannabis in two parallel operations.
The first operation resulted in the discovery of 210 kilos of cannabis and the arrest of three men on Friday, including a 40-year-old Albanian national, believed to be the ringleader, and two Greeks, aged 28 and 18.

Turkey sees rise in happiness levels in 2016
The overall level of happiness increased in Turkey in 2016 when compared with 2015, according to statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜİK).
In 2015, 56.6 percent of individuals said they were happy, which later increased to 61.3 percent in 2016.
