Turkish Constitutional Court rules for probe into police over ‘breaking arm’ case during Gezi Park incidents

The Constitutional Court has ordered an investigation into police officers who have been suspected of having a role in Süleyman Göksel Yerdurt’s broken arm during the Gezi Park incidents in 2013, saying the state’s dismissal of the case had been “out of line with human dignity.”

Two Men Charged Over 'Christmas Terror Plot'

Two men have been charged with terrorism offences by police who had been investigating a suspected Christmas attack plot, The Telegraph writes. 

Andi Sami Star, 31, from Chesterfield, and a 22-year-old man from Sheffield have been charged with engaging in the preparation of an act of terrorism, West Yorkshire Police said.

The specialized appellate criminal court ruled that the 2 police officers from 7th police station in Sofia will remain in custody. Alexander Stanev and Edzhevit Osman are accused of protecting the criminal operations of a drug distribution gang and of taking bribes.
