DS: Idea of all-party government - unfeasible

NOVI SAD - The Democratic Party (DS), the leading party in the ruling coalition in Vojvodina, has ruled out the initiative by leader of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians Istvan Pastor for setting up an all-party government in Vojvodina.

Miroslav Vasin, chairman of the DS provincial committee for Vojvodina, is adamant that this idea is not feasible.

SNS: All for good of people, even forced cooperation with DS

BELGRADE - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) always acts for the good of the people and it will do everything to prevent further impoverishment and deterioration of Vojvodina, even if it meant a “forced, provisional cooperation” with those who brought about the crisis in the province, the SNS stated in a release on Thursday.

NOVI SAD -- SNS vice-president Goran Knežević says his party has changed its stance on joining a coalition government with the DS in Vojvodina, and could now do so.

The change of position on a broad coalition in the province came because the Progressives "have the interest of Vojvodina in mind," he added.

DS: Given no abuse, investigation to strengthen rule of law

NOVI SAD - The Committee of the Democratic Party (DS) of the Autonomous Province (AP) of Vojvodina has said that the party will view the setting up of a police investigative team to examine activities of four institutions in Vojvodina as a contribution to the rule of law in Serbia if the investigation is not abused for political purposes.
