Istanbul Governor's Office bans Trans Pride march but organizers defiant
The authorities on July 1 banned transsexual rights activists from holding a planned march in Istanbul this weekend, a week after police used rubber bullets and tear gas to thwart the LGBT Pride parade, which was banned for a third year in a row.
Organizers, however, vowed to press ahead with the Trans Pride March, planned for the afternoon of July 1, despite the ban.

Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muižnieks has criticized Turkish authorities for banning the LGBT Pride march in Istanbul for a third year running, urging them to uphold the right to freedom of assembly.

Belgrade to have "rival" Pride Parades
Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, June 24 in Belgrade, organizers have announced.
Pride Weekend, June 23-26, during which Pride walk is held, is organized by Citizens' Association Egal, Loud & Queer, and the Gay Lesbian Info Center.

Montenegro Gays Urge Families to Attend March
The fourth Pride march in the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica, will be held on Saturday with the LGBT community urging the police and prosecution to do more to punish those who attack LGBT people, their friends, family and supporters.

Belgrade Pride parade held without incidents
The Belgrade gay parade was held on Sunday under the slogan "Love Changes the World" without any incidents.
Organizers said this was a historic Belgrade Pride parade as it moved from Slavija Square "to the heart of Belgrade."

LGBT Activists March with Politicians for Belgrade Pride
The third Belgrade Pride Parade, which took place under the slogan "Love changes the world", was held on Sunday with several hundred LGBT rights supporters, alongside Serbian politicians, participating in the march through the centre of the Serbian capital.
The group was protected by some 5,000 police officers who had the city centre in lockdown to ensure participants' safety.
Serbian Capital Set for Gay Pride Parade
Belgrade's third Pride Parade will start at noon on Sunday and the walking route will be from Slavija Square to the Square of Republic, with a moment of silence at the Patriots monument at Terazije Street, intended to show support for the LGBT community in Turkey, where Pride Parades have been banned.

Pride Parade on September 18
BELGRADE - A pride parade will take place in Belgrade on September 18, Boban Stojanovic from the Pride Parade Organizing Committee said on Tuesday.
At a conference on homophobia in Serbia held on the occasion of International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, he described as important the fact that the gay pride march would go through downtown streets.
