Average Salary in Bulgaria Drops Slightly, but Annual Growth Continues
At the close of the third quarter in 2024, Bulgaria saw a slight decrease in both employment numbers and average wages, according to data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI). The total number of people employed in labor and service roles dropped by 22,800, or 1%, from the previous quarter, bringing the total workforce to 2.33 million.
Wages jump up to 46% in 5 years
Salaries have increased in total by 12-46% over the last five years in the 20 sectors with the greatest employment, according to the Labor Ministry's Ergani database.

Cyprus civil servants get 1.5% raise
Cyprus' House of Representatives has ratified an agreement between the government and trade unions to implement a general 1.5% wage increase for public and semi-public sector employees. The decision was reached with 25 votes in favor and 17 against, following a lengthy debate that revealed deep divisions within the legislature.

Auditions for musicians to perform at Istanbul metro stations
