Minimum salary to rise to 654 euros in October

The first part of a government plan to increase the minimum salary is expected to be implemented in October, taking the level up to 654 euros per month for all private sector workers. The government?s election pledge to raise the minimum monthly salary to 751 euros will not be fulfilled before the second half of 2016.

BELGRADE -- The average November net salary in Serbia amounted to RSD 44,206 (some EUR 360 on Dec. 25) - 1.6 percent less in nominal and real terms compared to October.
The data was released on Thursday by the Statistical Office.

The recently elected Bulgarian MPs and ministers are getting a pay rise, shows data of the National Statistic Institute on the average salary in Bulgaria.
According to the data, the average monthly salary in Bulgaria's public sector in Q3 2014 rose by 5.8% year-on-year and reached BGN 900.
