New Protests in Romania Against Tax Reforms
More than 2,500 people protested last night in some of Romania's big cities against tax changes introduced by the center-left government, as well as against judicial reforms planned by the cabinet, according to Romania Libera newspaper.

Romania Linked to European Highway Network
People from the western part of Romania can now easily get to Budapest or Vienna, using the new interconnection between Romania's A1 and Hungary's M43 highways.
Romanian authorities on Saturday inaugurated the 40-km-long segment of the Arad-Nadlac motorway and a new border checkpoint between Nadlac and Csanadpalota, in Hungary.

MAI's Dajbog: Fines in excess of RON 7 million issued in four days
Fines in excess of RON 7 million were issued over the past four days, spokesperson for the Interior Ministry (MAI) Monica Dajbog said Tuesday.

'The Police and the Gendarmerie issued nearly 26,000 fines, with more than 18,500 of them being traffic fines,' Dajbog said in a press statement.
ROMANIANS AT MONGOL RALLY Sibiu City travelled by 300 teams in the world's largest charity rally
More than 300 teams from all over Europe, mostly British, stopped over at least for one night in Sibiu City, central Romania, a mandatory place on the map of the world's largest charity rally, the Mongol Rally, where Romania is represented by two teams - Dracula Khan and Mamaliga (Polenta) Warriors, says Vlad Grigore, one of the Romanians that took part in the rally in 2013.

Traffic on Highway DN 7C "Transfagarasan", crossing the high Fagaras Mountains in the Southern Carpathians from Bascov (Arges county) to the junction of the Highway linking Brasov to Sibiu (central Romania) is open from July 1 till Oct. 31.
