Growing Fires in California
Hundreds of homes are endangered, and piles of thick smoke rises near San Francisco. According to the local fire department, about 29,000 hectares of oak forests, shrubs and grass are affected.

Shooting at YouTube Headquarters Leaves Suspect Dead and Several Injured
TheVerge - At least four people were shot at YouTube's headquarters in San Bruno on Tuesday, according to a police spokesman. Three victims were taken to local hospitals. A fourth person died at the scene, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said during a press conference Tuesday afternoon.
