New Privileges for the Owners of Electric Cars in the UK
Scheme for imposing electric vehicles provides a number of reliefs for their owners, Daily Mail writes. Electric cars will have special, green license plates. Cars with these numbers will have the right to cheaper or free parking and to drive in bus lanes.
Athens trolley bus drivers hold 4-hour stoppage on Wednesday
Trolley bus drivers in the Greek capital will be walking off the job on Wednesday to attend a general assembly.
The meeting in Athens has been scheduled to take place between 12 noon and 4 p.m.
However, commuters are advised that drivers will start their final morning runs at around 11 a.m., with service expected to resume as normal from 5 p.m. onwards.
Sofia Will Receive 137 Electric Buses, Trams and Trolleys under an European Program
Three contracts for the supply of 137 electric vehicles for the improvement of air quality in Sofia have been signed with the Sofia Municipality, the Ministry of Environment and Water announced.
Public Transport Strike Kicks off in Greece
It will affect the operation of part of the metro lines in the capital Athens. They also stop trams, buses and city rail.
Sailors and port officials are also on strike. Ferries and cargo ships will not move and ports are closed.
The railway staff will be on strike in 24 hours, but their protest will start on Thursday morning.

Incentives to buy zero-emission cars to kick in in 2020
The government will provide incentives for people, and companies, to replace old-technology, polluting cars with zero emission ones from next year, Deputy Finance Minister Apostolos Vesyropoulos said.
The incentives will come in the form of lower registration and use levies for vehicles, including company cars, Vesyropoulos told Skai radio.

The New Rules for Electric Scooters Are Ready
The rules for electric scooters are ready. They will be equivalent to bicycles - they will be able to cycle on bike lanes or on streets that have a speed limit of up to 50 km / h.
All people aged over 16 will be legally able to drive the electric scooters. Children between the ages of 14 and 16 will only be able to ride the scooters on bike lanes.

Vehicle restrictions return in central Athens
Restrictions on vehicles entering central Athens will be reinstated as of September 29, the Traffic Police said Friday.
The restrictions are enforced every year and are designed to reduce traffic congestion in downtown Athens.
