40 cameras will monitor the bus lanes from today - the goal is to increase the speed of public transport and accuracy. This was written by the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova in her profile on the social network Facebook.

"Please do not violate the rules. A traffic police have already had all the tools to ensure compliance with the law on traffic", the mayor of the capital wrote.

A car cut into a tram №11 on Konstantin Velichkov Blvd in Sofia, a reporter on Channel 3 reported.

The driver attempted to make an unlawful left turn, and the tram driver failed to respond and stop in time. There are no injured people. Police departments have arrived at the site. Tram traffic in that direction is currently suspended.

Municipally-owned public transport company Stolichen Electrotransport, which serves the Bulgarian capital Sofia, said that it has launched a 38.1 million levs ($21.6 million/19.4 million euro) tender for the delivery of 30 new low-floor trolleybuses, reports SeeNews.
