Moscow has informed Ankara via diplomatic channels about a violation of Turkey's airspace by a Russian warplane, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said, according to TASS.

Russia must not escalate tension in Syria after Russian airplanes violated Turkish airspace, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu has said, hours before NATO was set to hold a meeting to discuss developments in Syria. 

Islamic State and energy are set to dominate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during the Turkish head of state's visit to Moscow on Wednesday.

This comes as Ankara and Moscow are at odds over Russia's involvement in the Syrian conflict and the buildup of forces it has been carrying out in the past weeks.

Turkey and Germany are in full consensus on the refugee crisis, Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlio?lu has said, adding Germany's views on the issue were the most similar to Turkey's among European countries.  
"Germany's attitude should be an example to others in Europe," Sinirlio?lu said, speaking at a press conference with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Seven workers, including five Syrian migrants, have been killed and 38 others, also mostly Syrians, have been wounded in a traffic accident in the southern province of Hatay. 

One soldier was killed on Sept. 9 as a result of a gunfire from across the Syrian border in the Reyhanl? district of Hatay province.

Infantryman Gökhan Çak?r, 21, was wounded at 2 a.m. as military personnel at the Cilvegözü border post were patrolling beside the Syrian border following a notice by soldiers on duty regarding a disturbance on the Syrian side. 

A bomb placed in the car of a Free Syrian Army (FSA) commander has detonated in southeastern Turkey, while the commander is being treated for heavy injuries. 

An FSA commander identified as Cemil Radon was severely wounded when his car exploded at midday on Aug. 26 in Hatay province, on Turkey?s border with Syria.  

Turkey has started building a wall along its border with Syria following a recent wave of attacks, Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.

The three-metre tall concrete wall is planned to stretch for eight kilometers in Reyhanli district of Hatay province, just across the Syrian town of Atmeh.

Turkish army has started building a rocket-proof wall, 2.5 meters high and 1 meter wide, on the Syrian border in the southern province of Hatay, with ditches being dug along the borderline, amid spiraling tension near and on the border.

Turkish military vehicles came under fire while on patrol near the Turkey-Syria border in the southern province of Hatay, apparently from the Syrian side, the Turkish General Staff announced in a written statement on July 15. It added border units immediately responded to the attack.
