Serbian industrial turnover up by 5.9 pct y-o-y in May
BELGRADE - Serbia's May 2024 industrial turnover was up by 5.9 pct relative to the same month of last year, according to figures released by the national statistical office RZS.
Relative to the 2023 average, it was up by 6.4 pct.
By sectors, the mining sector registered a 68.9 pct turnover increase y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover rose by 3.5 pct.
Summer sales kick off, run till late August
Summer sales started on Monday across Greece and will end on August 31.
Under the current law, stores can open voluntarily this Sunday, July 14, the first Sunday of the sales period, on a schedule of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Serbian industrial turnover up by 23 pct y-o-y in April
BELGRADE - Serbia's April 2024 industrial turnover was up by 23 pct relative to the same month of last year, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Relative to the 2023 average, it was up by 14.4 pct.
By sectors, the mining sector registered an 82.1 pct turnover increase y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover rose by 20.5 pct.

BELGRADE - Serbia's March 2024 industrial turnover was up by 0.4 pct relative to the same month of last year, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Relative to the 2023 average, it was up by 10.2 pct.
By sectors, the mining sector registered a 29.2 pct turnover increase y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover fell by 0.9 pct.

BELGRADE - Serbia's February industrial turnover was up by 11.7 pct relative to the same month of last year, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Relative to the 2023 average, it was down by 0.9 pct.
By sectors, the mining sector registered a 43.5 pct turnover increase y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover rose by 10.7 pct.
Disappointing Q1 for retail
Retail commerce turnover in the first quarter of 2024 was disappointing, according to traders' estimates. The market is now pinning its hopes on the Easter period and tourism, although both have a strong seasonal and local character.

Relative to the 2023 average, it was down by 13.8 pct.
By sectors, the mining sector registered a 12 pct turnover increase y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover rose by 6.7 pct.
Retail turnover rose by 5.1% last year
Retail sales volume increased by just 0.7% in December 2023, the month with the highest consumer demand due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, compared to December 2022.
