The winds will blow northeast at 3 to 5 in the western regions & north at 4 to 6 in the eastern regions locally reaching 7 beaufort in the Aegean Sea – The temperature will experience a slight increase mainly in the western areas

During the night, expect mostly clear skies with scattered high clouds, bringing generally calm weather with temperatures ranging between 5°C and 10°C, around 5°C in Sofia.

Overnight, cloud cover will disperse and decrease to mostly clear skies across the western half of the country, while rain will persist in the eastern regions. A gentle to moderate breeze will blow from the west-southwest.

Plumes of dust carried by strong southerly winds from North Africa have shrouded the western part of Türkiye, decreasing air quality and visibility. 

Hot winds from Libya have engulfed cities including Istanbul, İzmir, Antalya, Bolu, Tekirdağ, and Muğla.

Skies over southern Greece turned an orange hue on Tuesday as dust clouds blown across the Mediterranean Sea from North Africa engulfed the Acropolis and other Athens landmarks.

Strong southerly winds carried the dust from the Sahara Desert, giving the atmosphere of the Greek capital a Martian-like filter in the last hours of daylight.

During the night, showers are expected in some areas, primarily in the western and northern regions, while the rest of the country will experience clearing skies. Winds will diminish, blowing mainly from the east and southeast, with minimum temperatures ranging from 7°C to 12°C, approximately 9°C in Sofia.

During the night, cloud cover will increase and thicken, with showers expected to develop from the southwest. Winds will predominantly come from the east-southeast, remaining light, while in Eastern Bulgaria, they may reach moderate strength. Minimum temperatures will range mostly between 6°C and 11°C, with Sofia experiencing around 7°C.
