According to information from the "Directorate Vessel Traffic Services Authority - Black Sea", strong southerly winds with speeds of 15 to 20 m/s closed the port of Burgas.

A wildfire broke out on Sunday in the village of Kato Gerakari on the island of Zakynthos. Strong firefighting forces swiftly responded to the scene as powerful winds, reaching up to 8 Beaufort, swept through the area. 

Bulgaria is gearing up for a bout of turbulent weather as the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology issues warnings for high winds across the nation. With an orange alert for strong winds in eight regions and a yellow alert for most others, citizens are urged to prepare for adverse conditions.

The National Meteorological Service (EMY) issued an emergency bulletin on Saturday, warning that storms are seen sweeping into Greece starting on Sunday and ending Monday night.

As February 10 approaches, weather patterns across Bulgaria are set to shift, with clouds thickening from the west. Moderate to strong southwesterly winds will prevail, bringing warmth across the region. High temperatures are expected to range between 17°C and 22°C, with slightly cooler conditions around 17°C in Sofia.

Currently the National Hurricane Center uses a measure called the Saffir-Simpson Windscale to classify the intensity of hurricanes in the Western Hemisphere & alert people in the area to take appropriate precautions

During the night, mainly clear weather is expected with light to moderate winds from the south-southwest in most areas. In Southeastern Bulgaria, it will be calm with fog or low clouds in the morning hours. Minimum temperatures will range between 3°C and 8°C, with lower values expected in the higher fields of Southwest Bulgaria, and around 3°C in Sofia.

The atmospheric pressure will be below the monthly average. During the night, the cloud cover will decrease, with a moderate west wind blowing over Northern Bulgaria, leading to mostly clear weather.

The weather is expected to be mostly clear during the night. In larger parts of the country, it will be mostly calm, with a gentle to moderate southwest wind in Northeastern Bulgaria. Minimum temperatures will range between 4° and 9°, with lower temperatures in the valleys of Western Bulgaria, around 3° in Sofia. Tomorrow, it will be mostly sunny again with scattered high clouds.

Sunny and warm conditions await Bulgarians on Tuesday, February 6th. The atmospheric pressure will increase until noon, then it will decrease, and towards the evening, it will be close to normal for the month.
