The tanker, owned by Delta Tankers, a company under the shipowner Diamantis Diamantidis, had loaded oil from the Persian Gulf and was en route to the refineries in Agioi Theodoroi, Greece.

The Greek-owned Tutor coal carrier attacked by Yemen's Houthi militants in the Red Sea last week has sunk, salvagers have confirmed.

The Tutor was struck with missiles and an explosive-laden remote-controlled boat on June 12 and had been taking on water, according to sources including maritime security companies and the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

Yemen's Houthis have claimed responsibility for an attack on a Greek cargo ship, the Tutor, which is now in distress in the Red Sea off Yemen's Hudaydah Port. The vessel, used to transport coal, suffered a puncture and is at risk of sinking, according to the Iran-backed Shiite group.

A boat carrying more than 200 migrants sank off Yemen, leaving at least 39 dead in the latest disaster on the perilous migration route, a U.N. agency said on Tuesday.

"Tragic incident off #Yemen coast: Boat with 260 migrants sank yesterday. 39 dead, 150 missing, 71 survivors," the International Organisation for Migration said on X, referring to Monday's sinking.

Iran's navy seized St Nikolas, the oil tanker associated with the Greek shipping company Empire Navigation, on Thursday in the Gulf of Oman, Iranian media reported.  The oil tanker was once at the center of a major crisis between Tehran and Washington, officials said, a seizure that further escalated tensions in the Mideast waterways.

A car bomb exploded outside an Ismaili mosque in an eastern district of the Yemen's war-damaged capital Sanaa on July 29, killing three people and wounding seven, a security source said. 

Saudi-led airstrikes killed 15 people and wounded dozens across Yemen late on June 20, the Houthi-run Saba news agency reported.

The dead included five women and two children in attacks on Saada and Marib provinces, the agency said.
