EuroBasket qualifiers, Great Britain – Greece: Aiming for the win in London, tip-off at 21:30
Ten months ago, the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers (which will be held in Cyprus) began, with the Greek national team (under the debut of Vassilis Spanoulis as coach) achieving two consecutive wins against the Czech Republic (72-64 at home) and the Netherlands (74-72 away).
Pesic: EuroBasket 2025 berth a priority
BELGRADE - The head coach of the Serbia men's national basketball team Svetislav Pesic said on Monday evening a EuroBasket 2025 berth was the priority but that the upcoming qualifying games against Finland and Georgia would also help him pick a team for the Paris Olympic Games.

Serbia to play Finland, Denmark and Georgia in EuroBasket qualifiers
MUNICH - The Serbia men's national basketball team was on Tuesday drawn to play Finland, Denmark and Georgia in FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers Group G.
The draw ceremony was held in Munich.
The top three teams from eight qualifying groups will advance to the final tournament.
Slovenia’s EuroBasket hopes dashed
Slovenia lost the first two games at the European Women Basketball Championship, ruining their prospects to make it to the quarter-finals for the first time, the goal at what is their fourth EuroBasket to date.
The team lost against Germany 62:66 at Stožice Arena in Ljubljana on 16 June and 71:76 against Great Britain on 15 June, when the event opened.

Slovenia eyeing top eight in home court EuroBasket Women
Slovenia and Israel will co-host the 2023 European Women Basketball Championship from 15 to 25 June, with the knock-out stage held in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana. The Slovenian team's goal at their fourth EuroBasket is to make it to the quarter-finals for the first time.
Spain is the Champion of Europe, capturing fourth EuroBasket title!
In 2022, Spain won its fourth gold medal at the European Championships.
They appeared as a team that no one predicted would be among the top four selections. Yet, with a naturalized American, excellent local basketball players and an experienced Italian coach, they "conquered" Europe.

Zoran Dragić quits EuroBasket due to injury
Berlin – Basketball player Zoran Dragić has quit the EuroBasket due to injury, the Slovenian Basketball Federation announced on Sunday. Dragić injured his thigh muscle at yesterday’s match against Belgium.

Slovenia beat Belgium to advance to quarter finals
Berlin – Slovenia beat Belgium 88:72 (24:19, 44:41, 63:60) in Berlin on Saturday to advance to the quarter finals at the 2022 EuroBasket. The defending champions will thus play the winner of Sunday’s Ukraine-Poland match on Wednesday.

Second win for Slovenia at the Eurobasket
Cologne – Slovenia easily defeated Hungary 103:88 (29:16, 54:33, 88:60) in the second round of play at the Eurobasket on Saturday night.
The team started out with a 18:2 run and opened a 24-point gap by the first half, allowing coach Aleksander Sekulić to give the top players some rest ahead of the deciding games.

Pešić: They see us as Yugoslavia
Pei did not reveal which twelve basketball players he will take to the Eurobasket, saying that he will do so on Wednesday after training.
Serbian basketball players achieved two important victories in the Mundobasket qualifiers, against Greece and Turkey, so they travel to Prague full of confidence.
