Each year on April 30, the world celebrates Jazz Day in order to spread awareness for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding. It is celebrated across countries to bring together communities, artists and jazz enthusiasts and to learn more about jazz, its roots, future and impact.
Ankara Jazz Festival to be held online on 24th year
On its 24th year, the International Ankara Jazz Festival will take place as an online festival due to the global coronavirus pandemic. Works are almost completed for the festival to take place between April 30 and May 10.
Meeting with its audience with a different theme every year, the festival underlines important issues within jazz.
Belgrade to join International Jazz Day celebrations
BELGRADE - The International Jazz Day will be marked Wednesday with a concert on Belgrade's central square, the organisers have announced.
The International Jazz Day, April 30, was officially recognised by UNESCO on April 12, 2012 at the initiative of legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock, one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century.
Paris named host city for Jazz Day
Jazz musicians from around the world will gather this April in Paris for International Jazz Day, an event UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock hopes will bring an uplifting "positive message" to a city still reeling from last month's terrorist attacks.

Herbie Hancock thrills crowd in Belgrade
BELGRADE - One of the greatest living jazz musicians, Herbie Hancock, held an excellent concert before a packed auditorium at Belgrade's Sava Centar on Thursday.
The jazz legend appeared on stage with the All Star band, comprising James Genus on bass, Lionel Louek on guitar and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums.

Herbie Hancock to gig in Belgrade on Thursday
BELGRADE - The famous jazz pianist and multi-genre composer, Herbie Hancock, will gig at Centre Sava on Thursday, November 27.
Hancock will perform a number of songs from his rich career, accompanied by an all-star-band, organizers have announced.
