Turkish Airlines has officially claimed the Guinness World Record for the airline that flies to the most countries, solidifying its position as a global aviation leader.
Turkish Airlines plans to launch flights to New Zealand
Shortly after expanding its network to Sydney, Australia, Turkish Airlines has unveiled plans to launch flights to New Zealand.
Ahmet Olmuştur, chief commercial officer at Turkish Airlines, has held talks in New Zealand to that end.
Flights to the country, however, are not expected to start in 2025 but at a later date.

A library from the Hellenistic period has emerged as one of the latest treasures unearthed during the ongoing excavations in the ancient city of Stratonikeia, nestled in the western province of Muğla's Yatağan district.
Turkish Airlines named ‘Best Airline in Europe’
Turkish Airlines has said that it was named "Best Airline in Europe" by Skytrax at the 2024 World Airline Awards.
Based on results from the independent surveys carried out by Skytrax, the flag carrier also won two other top awards at the ceremony, including the "World's Best Business Class Catering" and "Best Airline in Southern Europe."

Turkish Airlines, KM Malta launch codeshare partnership
Turkish Airlines (THY) and KM Malta Airlines, the flag carrier of Malta, have signed a codeshare agreement to operate joint flights, effective as of June 15.
The codeshare agreement will provide passengers of both flag carrier airlines more flexible travel options on direct flights between Istanbul and Malta, THY said in a statement.

In a commemorative ceremony in the capital Ankara yesterday, attendees gathered to pay tribute to İsmet İnönü, one of the esteemed founders of the Turkish Republic and its second president, on the 50th anniversary of his passing.
The commemorative event took place at Anıtkabir, the grounds also housing the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
