Kosovo police prevented Kosovo Serbs from accessing their workplaces in front of the Mitrovica municipality building, which was forcefully closed on Friday, according to Tanjug. Kosovo Serbs gathered outside the building, seeking entry to their offices, but were blocked by police, who had arrived with jeeps.

US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Hovenier expressed concerns today about the potential risks associated with reopening the bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica. Hovenier warned that this action could pose a "real danger" to the safety of NATO troops stationed in Kosovo, including American soldiers, as reported by "KosovaPress."

BRUSSELS - EU spokesperson Peter Stano on Tuesday criticised Pristina's decision to ban Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and seven bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church from entering Kosovo-Meothija, noting that the move violated arrangements for official visits and ignored the importance of the Serbian Orthodox Church for "parts of the citizens" of Kosovo-Metohija.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held an urgent meeting with several government ministers on Tuesday evening after Pristina's PM Albin Kurti rejected a proposal by the US, the EU and Quint states and decided instead that a ban on the Serbian dinar in Kosovo-Metohija begin on Wednesday, sources in the Presidency of Serbia told Tanjug.

The meeting followed after the Prime Minister of Pristina's temporary institutions, Albin Kurti, rejected the proposal of the USA, the EU and the Quint countries and decided that the ban on the use of the dinar in Kosovo and Metohija would begin today, Tanjug was told in the Presidency.

"The removal of this regime is an act of good neighborly relations and comes after full recognition of the plates of the Republic of Kosovo by Serbia," it is stated in the press release of the so-called Kosovo Government.
The decision enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Claudia Tenney, who is also the co-chair of the Serbian caucus in the US Congress, submitted a bill that would suspend all aid to Pristina until it fulfills its obligations.

The portal referred to the words of an EU official that the Union is still concerned about the tensions in the north of Kosovo, and that it calls on both sides to urgently de-escalate.

BRUSSELS - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak announced on Sunday evening he was working on preparations for the next meeting of representatives of Belgrade and Pristina at technical level.
