Ana Ivanovic in semifinals, Jelena Jankovic ousted

CINCINNATI - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic beat Ukraine's Elina Svitolina 6-2 6-3 at the WTA Cincinnati 2014 on Saturday to reach the semifinals.

Her next opponent will be Russia's Maria Sharapova, who beat Simona Halep of Romania 3-6 6-4 6-4.

Another Serbian contender, Jelena Jankovic, lost to Serena Williams of the US 6-1 6-3.

Williams will face Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark in the other semi. She beat Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 7-6(5) in the quarterfinals.

The prize fund for the tournament is USD 2,567,300. The winner will take USD 467,300.
