First Pancevo Film Festival closes

PANCEVO - The first Pancevo Film Festival, an international short and feature film competition event, has has closed after awarding the winners of two competition categories.

The three-strong jury of the feature category, director Bobo Jelcic, actress Vladica Milosavljevic and critic Branislav Dimitrijevic gave a special award to Damir Cucic and Misel Skoric for the film Mitch - the Diary of the Schizophrenic Patient.

The best film in the Lighthouses category was Norte, the End of Hostory by Lav Diaz. When It Lifts Its Little Eyes Up by Alice Furtado from Brazil won the short film category.

Awards for editing, camera, script and best actor, actress, documentary and director were also awarded in this category.

The festival was held from September 3 to 7. The organizer of the event was the Pancevo Film Festival association of citizens, its partners were the Cultural Center and Dom Omladine cultural centers from Pancevo and its sponsors the City of Pancevo and the Serbian Ministry of Culture.
