Thessaloniki-Alexandroupoli train service suspended due to heavy rainfall

Train services between Komotini and Alexandroupoli and Alexandroupoli and Dikaia have been temporarily suspended due to problems on the tracks caused by heavy rainfall in northern Greece, rail operator Trainose said on Thursday.

Commuters traveling between the northern port city of Thessaloniki and the border town of Alexandroupoli and between Alexandroupoli and Dikaia will be transported by bus to their destination until the tracks are restored, the announcement said.
