Gendarmerie gets new commander - unofficial

BELGRADE -- B92 has unofficially learned that the new commander of the MUP Gendarmerie (Zandarmerija) will be Goran Dragovic.

Dragovic until now served as commander of MUP's Counter-Terrorist Unit (PTJ).

lso according to unofficial information, the current Gendarmerie commander, Milenko Bozovic, has been appointed to head the Border Police Directorate, while Milos Macesic is the new commander of the PTJ.

Bozovic took over at the helm of the Gendarmerie in August 2013, and was put forward for the job by Police Director Milorad Veljovic.

Bozovic replaced Bratislav Dikovic who was dismissed on Veljovic's request after a member of the Gendarmerie was arrested on suspicion of murdering two men.
