Stefanovic, Ugljanin discuss security in Sandzak

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Interior Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic and caucus whip of Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of Sandzak- Party of Democratic Action (PDD) Sulejman Ugljanin conferred in the parliament building on Thursday concerning the security situation in south-west Serbia.

The aim of the talks was to find solutions to increase security level through joint efforts, as well as ensure economic prosperity and overall improvement of the living standards for citizens of Sandzak.

The officials agreed that experiences and examples of positive practice of EU member countries should be used to this end, the Serbian Ministry of Interior Affairs released.

Joint efforts and respect for minority rights will have a positive effect on rule of law and legal security, which will contribute to a better security and economic climate, both for the citizens in the are and in entire Serbia, the minister said.

The meeting was attended by Police Director Milorad Veljovic and MP of the SDA Sandzak Enis Imamovic, states the release.
