Large cache of explosives found on Ionian island

A large amount of explosive material was found by the police on the island of Zakynthos on Friday in the village of Keri.

More specifically, 800 kilos of ammonium dynamite was found and confiscated. The material was stored in a small room in the basement of an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the village.

An investigation has been launched to find out to who placed the explosive material there and what it was intended for.
