A regional hub for advanced digital technologies has opened at the Slovenian pavilion at Dubai Expo City to showcase and position Slovenian companies in the Middle East and North Africa region and in Asian markets.
Emirates to add direct daily flight to Athens in June
As part of its international expansion in response to the increased demand for air travel, Dubai-based carrier Emirates announced on Tuesday it is adding a further direct daily flight between Athens and Dubai as of June 1 and until September 30.
Saudi unveils new airline to compete with Gulf rivals
Saudi Arabia announced on March 12 the creation of a new national airline, part of a plan to turn Riyadh into a global aviation hub rivalling regional leaders like Dubai and Doha.
"Riyadh Air "aims to launch flights to more than 100 destinations around the world by 2030," the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Gasic visits UAE
BELGRADE - Serbian Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic is on an official visit to the UAE, where he attended the ceremonial opening of the March 7-9 World Police Summit in Dubai, the Serbian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

It's official - Djokovic cannot enter the USA
World No. 1, Novak Djokovic, has officially withdrawn from the draw for the Masters tournament in Indian Wells.
Djokovic withdrew because the decision in the United States is still in force that foreigners who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus cannot enter that country.

Djokovic loses to Medvedev in Dubai semis
DUBAI - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, is out of the ATP tournament in Dubai after losing to Russian Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-finals on Friday evening.
Djokovic is now 9-5 head-to-head against Medvedev.

Djokovic beats Hurkacz to reach Dubai semis
DUBAI - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, is through to the semi-finals of the Dubai ATP tournament after defeating Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 6-3, 7-5 on Thursday evening.
Djokovic won after 102 minutes of play and is now 5-0 head-to-head against Hurkacz.

Djokovic beats Griekspoor to advance to Dubai quarters
DUBAI - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the quarter-finals of the Dubai ATP tournament after defeating Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor 6-2, 6-3 on Wednesday.
Djokovic, who won after 82 minutes of play, now has a 2-0 head-to-head record against Griekspoor.
