Serbian-Australian duo win Wimbledon mixed doubles

LONDON -- Serbia's Nenad Zimonjić and Australia's Samantha Stosur won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title in London on Sunday.

They defeated Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Chan Hao-ching of Chinese Taipei

LONDON - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic qualified for the fourth round of the Wimbledon ATP as he defeated Gilles Simon of France in the third round match on Friday, 6-4, 6-2, 6-4.

Djokovic achieved his seventh consequent win and his first victory against Simon after two hours and a quarter into the match.

BELGRADE - Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali conferred on Wednesday with taekwondo athletes Milica Mandic and Tijana Bogdanovic and kayak riders Nikolina and Olivera Moldovan and promised support to them so that they could win medals at the Brazil Olympics in 2016.

BELGRADE - Serbia's Tijana Bogdanovic won on Sunday the gold medal at the taekwondo junior world championship in Chinese Taipei, beating Spain's Lidia Garcia 9-5.

This was Serbia's first gold medal in junior competition and second gold on the international stage, since Bogdanovic won the European championship last year.
