Serbia's Novak Djokovic, world number one in men's tennis, was on Friday drawn to play Yen-Hsun Lu of Chinese Taipei in the Roland Garros opener.
Djokovic could face arch rival Rafael Nadal of Spain in the semifinals, Tanjug reported on Friday.
Taiwan's Hon Hai seals Sharp takeover for $3.5 bln
Taiwan's tech giant Hon Hai said March 30 it had finally sealed a takeover of Japanese electronics maker Sharp in a "historic" deal worth 389 billion yen ($3.5 billion).
It is the first foreign acquisition of a major Japanese electronics firm and comes after weeks of delays, with Hon Hai buying a 66 percent controlling stake.

A Star Trek-like device to detect cancer tumors
A researcher team developed a device which reminds of the fictional Star Trek ‘tricorder,’ to detect early stage cancers without touching skin at all.
The device can identify tumors when pointed at a person’s body and according to the researchers, the technology can be more portable and less expensive than other cancer detection systems like MRIs and CTs, and safer than X-rays.

More than 500 people were injured, almost 200 of them seriously, when a ball of fire ripped through a crowd at a water park outside Taiwan's capital Taipei, authorities said June 28.
