Serbs join new Kosovo government led by Haradinaj
The 120-seat Kosovo Assembly on Sunday elected Ramush Haradinaj, the PDK-led coalition candidate, as new head of the Kosovo government.
61 voted in favor, while one member of the Assembly abstained.

Former Kosovo PM Rexhepi Dies in Turkey
Bajram Rexhepi, the first elected Prime Minister of Kosovo following the 1999 war of independence, died on Monday at the age of 63 in a hospital in Turkey, where he had been receiving treatment for months following a stroke in April this year.
News of the death of Rexhepi was confirmed by his Kosovo Democratic Party, PDK.

Kosovo Albanians, Serbs Fear for Trepca Mine's Future
The Trepca mining complex is split physically along ethnic lines, but Serb workers in the northern part of the former Yugoslav complex and the Kosovo Albanians in the southern part both have concerns about whether it can keep operating.
The fall of Yugoslavia and post-war ethnic divisions helped bring Trepca to the verge of bankruptcy.
Kosovo Delays Action to Avert Coal Shortage
The Kosovo government announced on Wednesday that a decision to expropriate eight houses in the village of Shipitulla in central-eastern Kosovo will be taken on August 11, after the Kosovo Energy Corporation, KEK failed to fully complete the resettlement of residents in order to start digging coal there.

Kosovo Pleads for Cash to Save Business College

Pristina wants UN mission in Kosovo shut down
The Kosovo government is demanding from the international community to change the mandate of UNMIK, UN's mission in Kosovo.
Pristina wants UNMIM to be given the role of a political mission, "so that Kosovo can start negotiations to join the UN."
