AKP's Syrian priorities remain confused

The report by McClatchy, the U.S. publishing company, alleging that Turkish intelligence tipped off the al Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front, and led to the recent routing by the group of opposition forces trained in Turkey by the U.S., has seriously ruffled Ankara?s feathers.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tanju Bilgic said the report was an ?ill-intentioned and lowly slander.?

The outlawed far-left Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) group aims to destabilize Turkey by targeting the country's key institutions and carrying out assassinations of top officials, Turkish security sources have said.  

The DHKP-C has been listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.

Angry PAME workers protest outside Labor Ministry

The All-Workers Militant Front (PAME), the Communist Party of Greece (KKE)-affiliated trade union, is protesting outside the Labor Ministry against the increase to pensioners’ health contributions by 4-6%. A PAME delegation is meeting with Labor Minister George Katrougalos to discuss EU-imposed changes to labor law.
