Serbian mathematics students pick up handful of medals
It would not be wrong to say that Team Serbia has won a world championship this year after all - the high school students' showing in Cluj overshadowed their peers from bigger, economically more developed countries, showing that Serbia is not without reason the homeland of scientist such as Nikola Tesla, Mihajlo Pupin, Milutin Milankovic, and Mileva Maric.

The students come from he Mathematical Gymnasium in Belgrade and the Novi Sad Gymnasium named after Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj.

OBRENOVAC -- Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport visited on Tuesday the newly rebuilt Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj elementary school in Obrenovac.
The school suffered extensive flood damage in May last year.

Novi Sad inventor wins European award
NOVI SAD - Stefan Velja, a young inventor from Novi Sad, won the Gold Medal for Young Inventors at the Brussels Eureka competition, Novi Sad Radio 021 reports.
His patent, a stent used for catching and breaking up blood clots, was presented at the International Exhibition of Invention, Research and New Technologies 'Eureka 2014' held in Brussels on November 13-15.

Serbian programmers win four medals at Balkan Olympiad
BELGRADE - Serbian high school students won two gold and two bronze medals at the 22nd Balkan Olympiad in Informatics, held from August 10 to 17 in Ankara, Turkey.
The Serbian team won the second place overall at this year's Balkan Olympiad, which gathered a total of 46 participants from 12 countries.
Serbian programmers win three medals in Taiwan
BELGRADE - Four young programmers from Serbia won three medals at 26th International Olympiad in Informatics that closed in Taipei on Sunday , leader of the Serbian team Nikola Milosavljevic has stated.
The Serbian programmers scooped two silver medals and one bronze at this year's competition whić
brought together 311 participants from 82 countries.
